This number called me on my landline. My Telstra Message Bank when I dialled 101 to retrieve the message left on the service kept repeating all the rigmarole - press 3 to hear message, press 5 to save message, press 22 to call the number back. When I did press 22 the "operator" said I couldn't call this number from my telephone. I am presuming it was a spam call - I am going to take my personal greeting message off my phone in the event of a spam call coming through - I will not be here to answer and I wont answer any number I do not know. I will call Telstra to complain.

I answered the call and there was silence. Possible scam?

Recorded announcement saying "hello, this is an automated survey for..." ... and that's when I hung up and blocked the number.

Sounds like a predictive dialer - that is what they use to identify "live" numbers, for further follow up, i.e. to target you!

my mobile blocked the number automatically as spam and blocked it.... no message left or voice mail

Asked me to give a political response by pressing the numbers on my key pad then said if I wish to opt out that I need to press the star button. Kept repeating this option that I need to press the star button. What the heck? Why ask me to opt out? Clearly a Scam!
