I kept getting calls from a private number to my mobile but also my work mobile. Each time I answered, it was the same, no one talking but I could hear background noise. This kept happening and I contacted Telstra, who were no real help at all. Then I got a call two private prank calls again and five minutes later a call from 0408 688 671 and I answered it and it was the same background noise and I knew this was the person calling me. A older woman, about 50, 60 answered, and said she didn't know what I was talking about and that only her used the mobile. I knew she was lying, I told her she sounded familiar and did I know her and she hung up. I never got another prank call again! Don't answer, potentially a scam.

Caller: Wouldn’t state name, stated they were a nurse asking from a clinic.

Female voice, Wanted personal information, asked for someone that I had never heard of; abrasively asked for personal details; possible debt collector; wouldn’t take no for an answer. Phoned several times, when I stopped answering, I immediately got 8 ‘private’ calls. Blocked

Constant calls in the car, listens for a few seconds then hangs up except for when my hubby answered and stayed on the line with him saying "helooooo" many times. We phoned back number when we got back home and older lady answered and said she hadn't phoned even though the background sound was the same. I wouldn't care to go to the effort of making a comment only the phone rang about 15 times! So annoying!

Kept getting calls from this number over a few days, they would listen for 30 secs then hang up. I tried calling back and the woman, said she knew nothing about it, then a gruff sounding man took the phone and said I 'got the number wrong' and hung up. I didn't. A few days later I got another call, didn't answer but it rang about three times. I eventually answered and was pretty annoyed by this time as I was at work as well. A woman, the same sounding woman from before told me, and this is no joke, that my partner had had an affair with a woman named Kirsty (I won't put the surname here) and that she had proof then she hung up. I tried phoning back but I think I had been blocked. My partner and I laughed the suggestion off (we are in out 60s). Scam or woman with personal problems, just don't answer and block number. So annoying!

This woman phoned my mobile, she knew personal information about me but wouldn't say who she was. She told me my son was having an affair with her friend and all sorts of lies, I think she just wanted to confirm his whereabouts. I immediately phoned my son and he had lots of prank calls but when he called back, it was from a medical clinic in the next town. I phoned this number back and then the very same woman tried to tell me that she never made the call and hung up on me. So strange, to this day I have no idea what was going on but I had lots of private number calls that just hung up for about two weeks after this. Just block the number and don't ever answer it if calls!

This mobile phoned mine several times with no one responding on the other end. I could hear background noise. When I phoned back, the woman on the other end said she had not phoned me. This happened over two days until my husband answered my phone to a private number and he was told that I had cheated on him with a friend of ours! It was all very strange. My daughter rang the number and woman on other end denied any knowledge of the calls. Possible scammer!

Received call, abrasive female Australian country-sounding voice asked for my personal details, when I declined, she told me she had secret information about my husband! Despite me not being married, I asked her what did she want, she kept asking who I was, then she said my husband was having an affair and had impregnated someone! I said I wouldn’t be answering her questions! I hung up, same number rang again, I blocked it then had a barrage of ‘private’ number calls to my mobile. I continued to have private number calls (5-6 at a time) for the next two days. CRAZY! Do not bother to answer for your own peace of mind!
