I am in Hurstville Sydney. I received a magnet and hand written note (printed) in my letterbox from someone who said they are local and do electrical and plumbing work with their family.

The licence number 33146 is expired, from someone who took it out in 1984. I checked the licence number (written in the tiniest writing) 33146 in Fair Trading https://verify.licence.nsw.gov.au/home/Trades/results?searchTerm=33146&licenceGroupCode=Trades&filter=search&status=all

The letter reads "My name is Jason. I wanted to drop you a quick note with my details for a rainy day. Our family have been in the trades industry for many years now, specialising in Electrical, Aircon and Plumbing, working right here in the community. We've decided to group together to be your one stop shop when trying to find a local tradie. Call us any time on the number below, whether it's after hours, small job, emergency, we will be happy to help!" The magnet is yellow writing on a black background with yellow and purple edging. " The website listed on it links to a website for a 24 hour trade service but the numbers are very different. This site also does not show any licence details.

Time to report this dubious business.

Received exactly same as earlier comment. A business magnet inside a written folded white small card. Looks suspicious.

I could not trace phone no quoted on magnet license no registered in qld.
Would like to have clarification. Possible genuine but with so many scams lately makes me cautious
