Recorded message advised that my internet is to be cut off due to problems with the 'router' and invited me to press '1' to speak to my internet provider. Same recorded message as on mobile number 0425 731 360. On pressing '1' I was answered by a man with an (to my ears, Indian) accent who claimed that there were problems that meant that 'we' needed to cut it off or others may have illegal access to my internet content. On inquiry 'we' was 'Telstra Technical Department' and he gave the 'employee identification' 8522100. He wanted to know if I has access to an active device so he could show me the problem. When I then volunteered 'so you want me to give you remote access to my computer, is that it?' he hung up.
