Caller: Scammer pretending to be from Company saying some one was setting up an Amazon account in my name

Indian accent - sounded like call center in background - claimed that someone was trying to set up an Amazon account using my mobile number & bought an IPhone. There was a text message with a number on it for verification. They wanted that number. No way - That would have given them the verification code to actually set up something using my mobile number. They also wanted me to check they were legit by downloading a Playstore App. Be careful with this caller. They are trying to scam your details/get that verification number that they had sent to your mobile to set up a fake/scammed account. Be wary.
