No one spoke. Hung up on them. Possible scammer

I answered the call and they hung up on me.

Not sure if this is something new from Telcos (I'm with Belong), but the Caller ID for this number came up on my phone as ---> "⚠️Warning: Suspicious Calling Pattern".

I did not answer and am guessing this was the right move.

Some guy said he was from Common Wealth Bank and said there was fraudulent activity on my account. Asked me a few questions and then I hung up as he kept asking questions. He hasn’t phoned back.

Delayed pick up then patchy silence the Alex said he was from Commonwealth Bank- scammer!

Someone speaking in the background, foreign language.Didn't respond to my hello? Don't usually answer calls from unkown numbers but I'm waiting to hear about a relative in hospital. Damn these scammers, I'm sick of it.

Thanks for the heads-up. I got the same call today while driving and was feeling guilty for hanging up on them (thinking it might be other legitimate stuff). Definitely feeling less guilty now knowing it was a scam artist and they deserved the hang-up.

Scam call pretending to be a bank worker.

Said they are from the commonwealth bank and I had an unauthorised transaction on my account but couldn’t tell me any other details about who I was. Tried calling back and ‘user busy’

Said they were from Amazon and there had been suspicious activity on my account. When I did respond they hung up on me.

Caller: Scammer claiming to be Telstra

Told me she was calling from Telstra about my internet - don't even use Telstra so I hung up

I got a call today with an Indian Accent said I am using Paypal which was connecting with my bank account. She can announce my name and email address correctly. Since I never use paypal before, I don't wanna listen more about the detail and said good bye. If anyone found she -called Jewwy Lenema (with employer no. ENY446) is a fraud please leave a message.

Caller: claimed they were from Mastercard and Visa

Claimed I had made a transaction to someone in New Zealand and they could stop it. Clearly a scammer.

Answered and said hello multiple times to which they also said hello multiple times, before saying ‘uh’ and hanging up. I guess they forgot their train of thought. Background sounds like a call centre. Likely a scammer
