Caller: Scam

Calls and then hangs up straight away, called back and I’m left with music like I’m on hold and no answer.

Caller hung up after a ring. Could be another bout of that the ‘call-back scam’ involved an extremely short call at times of great inconvenience, giving little or no opportunity to answer the phone. When the receiver of the missed call dials back, they start to be stung with international premium call rates as the scammers set up a toll number.

Caller: My complaint is the same as others that I have read. They called, I answered, they hung up immediately. I phoned back and it went straight to waiting music. Very annoying!

This number has called me 4 times in the last 3 weeks. I always use the call-assist function on my phone to answer for me and they never say who they are, they just hang up.

Called - hung up before I could answer.

I called back and it instantly answered & played hold music - almost certain this is a scam of some sort.

Received a call from this number, claiming to be from cerebral palsy alliance charity thanking me for donation last year. The caller had my name and suburb correct. After telling them I wasn’t in the position to donate, the caller responded with “that’s what everyone says, I haven’t even told you how much money it was yet” and proceeded to hang up.

Caller hangs up as soon as you answer it.
Then afterwards, more calls of a similar experience. they all hang up.
