Nuisance call. Rings 3 times hangs up with no message

Called at 7.02 pm. Hung up no message. Had a variety of # closely numbers ringing thru out day and early evening. Never leave a message. I assume its not someone l want to talk with

Caller: Not a known number to me.

No idea who called with this number. Do not know it, so I did not answer it. They didn't leave a message. I suspect a SPAM call or some Insurance people who just won't leave well enough alone. Blocked the number.

Phone pest. Rings my bell every day but there is no one there on answer. If I let it ring out they refuse to leave a message.

Queensland Police Senior Sergeant Steve Smith said people had started receiving calls two nights ago from a number based in Cameroon.

The Sunshine Coast Daily reports that the ‘call-back scam’ involved an extremely short call at times of great inconvenience, giving little or no opportunity to answer the phone.
