No messages left so scammer

A female with a foreign accent saying she is from the ABS - Australian Bureau of Statisics asking questions - what post code, my marital status. I hung up immediately.
But this was after receiving a text from another number saying an undelivered parcel needed to be re-directed. ( I clicked on the link and started filling in details until they asked for a credit card number.
I guess they are still trying to fill in the blanks to be able to hack something!!!! GRRRRR

Scam for sure. Why doesn’t the regulator stop this ???????????

SCAM - Initially said they were from my local council then in the same sentence said they were from a different state - not realising their error!!!

Incessant ringing with continuous ringing and a definite scam number. Personal details are being purchased by scammers so beware. Nothing on the web is safe

Said there from local council wanted to do a survey on population off Queensland after I had a email that there was a parcel in Melbourne and needed my address. Instant Block.

Asian woman phoned claiming to be from ABS doing a survey on Queensland’s population asked questions on martial status, full time or part time work and if I had a mortgage. Knew my first name and post code. Seemed like a scammer and these posts suggest it was a scammer.

Called saying they were from the ABS, however when I said that I did not wish to participate they replied with "whatever" and hung up on me. Definitely not ABS

she said she was from Bay City Council I said pardon she said Brisbane City Council ???

Unknown number so Silent call, didn’t leave a message.

some asian women asked is that mr +++++ said she was from local council doing a survey when i questioned her about that she just repeated that she was from the council doing a survey told her i did not do surveys on phone so she hung up scary thing is she had my name and number and there was a lot of noise in background sounded like call center to me

The caller did not leave a message, so now is blocked. If I don’t know the number I don’t answer it and would definitely not phone back if they didn’t leave a message
