Someone claimed to be from data bureau place. They asked questions of age, gender and marital status.

The caller (of Indian accent) said "Is this ___ (my name). When I said "Yes, may I know who is calling?" She replied that she is from a council (she did not specify which council). She says she wants to ask about demographics -- for only 10 seconds (which I doubt could be enough time for real questions about demographics). When I said "go ahead", what is the first question? She hung up.

I do not believe she is telling the truth. I think she is making sure that I have a phone that they can call to spam..

This number has called a number of times and has also sent email. DON'T trust Telstra and their lies about stopping thse calls.

I tried to ring back, got the OPTUS message the tel no is wrong or incomplete, so a no is a SPAM

Caller wouldn't identify themselves, but wanted me to.

Caller: not sure - think it's a telemarketer

tried phoning back but didn't go through

Caller: Stated she worked for ABS

She started asking me questions about my age range and when I asked her to verify herself, she hung up. I called back and the phone is dead. No dial tone.
