Caller: 0485 863 077

They called telling me they wanted to discuss electricity prices rising and that they worked under essential energy. They stated my name and slipped up and asked me if I lived at a certain address that there is no way in hell they could know because 1.I haven’t lived there for 2 years and 2. I had never had my name connected to any bills or anything to do with that address. I stated this and the lady didn’t know what to say and quickly handed me to a man who tried to tell me that it’s not what they said. I stated exactly what they’d told me back to them and he got angry and told me there must have been a mix up in the system so I asked him to explain how you could mix up an address that was never in a system under my name and he got even angrier and told me I need to tell him my actual address so they can fix it and let me know what price my electricity would be at for my town. I told him if he knows the post code why’s he need the address and that I’m not comfortable giving out my details he started yelling and told me I wouldn’t be giving my details just my address I had a good laugh at this comment and told him I’ll connect my energy provider to the call and we can discuss the prices together and he swore at me and quickly hung up. I called the number back to see if it would ring through and it said the number was disconnected. Full on Scammers do not fall for the crap.

Caller: Asian lady

An Asian lady called say that I need to confirm bank details on a visa sale. I told her she was a scam and hung up blocked the number

Some asian guy left a message of repeated "hello", then hung up. When I called back, the number was disconnected. Clearly the sounds of a telemarketing call centre in the background. Of the message.

Noisy background with lots of people noise, unclear intro and hanged up when I ask them to repeat

Caller: Energy scam

Usual energy scam. Had my name and obviously trying to get other details for dodgy purposes.

Scam. Indian gent wanted me to confirm my name and asked about electricity. Asked how much my bill was and told him I didn’t know. Went round and round for a minute or so and I hung up. Called back 4 times in a row before I blocked the number.

My phone said "suspected scam" - I blocked the number.

A scam.

English was not his first langauge.

You could hear many other people on calls in the background of the call, clearly a bigger operation.

He gave a very unclear intro, I asked him to repeat who he was several times and he mumbled something irrelevant.

Told me that my energy bill was overdue but didn’t know my name, nor did I give him my name.

Very quickly told him I had no energy account in my name, better luck next time and hung up.

Someone called claiming to be from my ‘energy provider’

This number called but didn’t leave a message.
