Annoying and persistent. Blocked number.

Had quite a few calls from numbers like this, 0485 817 5**. I don't answer and as they don't leave a message I assume they are spam calls.

Has rung a few times but never leaves a message. I can only assume they are trying to sell or promote something.

Caller: Aussie Protect Insurance ?

Looking to upgrade my private health cover. I politely declined and a lady with a thick New Zealand accent then abused me and said all Aussies are racist and she hoped my next hamburger contained the meat of dead birds. Huh? I don’t even eat hamburgers (or dead birds). Very bizarre.

Eventhough number came up with Suspected Spam, I answered. Lots of background noise & we could not be heard. However, I recognised the voice - a telemarketer that had called me before & I said then, that I was on Do Not Call Register & to delete my number....I shall block and raise a complaint...

No one at the other end. Picked up just silence.

No message left

Persistent calls .... I rang back to see and heard part of a message "we represent many companies ...." and I hung up. It's a sales group I think.
