Caller: 'George' Received texts from a guy named 'George' inquiring about a car I listed on Gumtree. He insisted I purchase a vehicle history check between $40 - $70 from some random company I've never heard of. Said he would reimburse me when he came to view the car. Would simply not take NO for an answer and I ended up blocking him.
Found out afterwards it's just another scam to rip off Sellers buy getting you to purchase worthless reports and get your card details to boot.

Caller: George George asking for a fake IC report from gumtree car ad. Sent a fake website for this report. He refuses to take phone calls and calls are diverted.

Caller: George Received texts from George enquiring about a car I had listed on Gumtree. I independently had a report from VicRoads but he was not happy with this and insisted I purchase a report from his website, but when I said I wasn't prepared to I haven't heard from him again.
