I keep getting calls from numbers number starting +61 like this: 0483 952 572. I do not recognize the numbers and so I don't answer. The caller never leaves a message so I assume it is from some sort of rogue call center running scams.

Caller: Scam Call Centre

Unquestionably a scam call. They left the line open so that I got a voicemail of the background noise, which was clearly an Indian Scam call centre. At least one very aggressive scammer could be heard in the background berating a victim they had on the line.

Caller: Reverse says number is smart fix plumbing but never leaves message

Feels like this is scammers but says Smartflix plumbing

Caller: 'Telsta'

Worker from 'Telstra' called to say that my phone IP address was on public and they would tell me how to change to private. Knew my name and offered to provide an employee number that I could google in an attempt to show validity when I questioned the scam (calling from a mobile, not knowing what provider I was covered by). Ended up hanging up as it was too suspicious.

Scam caller, said from commbank, when I said I’m not with them they hung up and won’t pick up return calls

My phone recognised this number as SPAM so saved it into my SPAM contact and blocked the number so they are not able to call again.

Scam call. Claimed to be ringing because my internet had been compromised

Caller: Scam caller saying they have been notified my internet has problems. I hung up.

Scammer!

Supposedly form NBN advising that my ip address had gone from private to public. His 'name' was Kevin Nes, but given that he had a very heavy accent, I doubt this was his real name.
I dont know what he wanted from me as I advised him that I would investigate and get back to him

Caller: PayPal

A guy called John called saying he was from PayPal and 3 suspicious overseas transactions on account. He asked me to confirm email address, once confirmed he asked for the security code sent via email - that's when I refused to give them the code!

Did not leave message.

Saying they where Telstra and that my ip address was sending warning and that I needed to open my browser. I hung up after that

Scammer. Tried to tell me she works for a business that does the fraud monitoring for 7 major banks in Australia. I work in fraud for a major bank so that was news to me. I wasted about 10 minutes of her time before saying I know she’s a scammer. She tried to turn it around by saying she hadn’t asked for any personal information. After wasting another few minutes she started calling me names in Hindi which I actually understand some basics of and she hung up on me when I said I know where you are in Hindi.

They informed me they were from NBN, and I asked a question who is my provider, and they were wrong

I got a call from this number today, said he was from Commonwealth Bank verification unit, he had my name and stumbled over pronunciation, I hung up then tried to call him back to see how he answered but no answer

It seems like scammers, be careful

Said they were Telstra

Received a call from this number today. She claimed to be from Telstra, calling about performance issues with my Telstra internet service. I don't have Telstra internet. When I asked her to confirm the service address, she disconnected.
