Normally would not answer but was waiting on a call from a hospital member When I answered there was a recording saying I owed money on my visa card and if I hadn't made the charge and it was a scam to press 1 I hung up

Caller: Commonwealth Bank Said he was from the Commonwealth Bank. Asked me to confirm payment request from Mr.X from the United States. I hang up after that.

Said he was from telstra and could offer me a 50% discount for 6 months due to my excellent payment history etc if I confirmed my email address and provided 100 points of idea. Seemed like it could have been legitimate, but I asked him to call back another time and then googled the number and found these other complaints

Recorded message saying I was being billed $1100 dollars on a visa card, press 1 to accept etc. Its a scam, just hang up.

Caller: NBN Scammer Said he was from the NBN Technical Department. Asked for me to check my NBN modem. Hung up when it was evident I worked in Technology.
