I am getting the same today (17/7/26) 2 messages from same number, one message from another. All the same as what OP describes

May be associated with a Commonwealth Bank Scam. Original call came in from a private number then a "code" sent by sms from this number. The name in the sms was Michael Andrews and the scam was about an approval of a payment to Qantas Airlines for a flight.
