Caller: Indian call centre Calling to tell me my tax file number has been used illegally to open 16 bank accounts and fraudulently moving $1.3 million dollars. I have a fake name and fake tax file number and they said they wanted to liaise with my local police station, so I said that would be great. I told them my uncle was the Sergeant there and gave another obscure name and then they hung up. Can’t call the number back because of incoming call restrictions.
