Man with a heavy Indian accent asked if I was [my name] and then confirmed with me my address (he knew both details already). He did not introduce himself or where he was calling from. Then he said something inaudible about an electricity bill, then asked if said account was under my name…? I said no, then he hung up on me.

Some guy (who knew my name) claiming that electricity prices have dropped in the new year and asked whether i have got any reduced rates recently from my current provider. I replied that I have to check. He hung up after some people could be heard in the background.

Caller: Anita

Calling to talk about the new prices of electricity. Scam because I do not pay for any electricity

Caller: Not sure

Called back and said the number was not connected, seems dodgy.

Caller: I don't know, i didnt answer

Pretty sure I've been receiving these calls daily ever since Ive put my details in somewheres online searching for different broadband deals... Damn me!

Caller: I don’t know

Called asking about my electricity bill - which I know I’m paid up on.
Was really quiet from her end and huffed at me when I said I could barely hear her. She then hung up.
Tried calling back but was disconnected.

Hung up the moment I answered the call

Caller: Scam electricity

Indian man very rude and pushy he kept forcing himself and want me to change my electrical provider

Similar experience here. Female caller with heavy accent asked if I was (my name). I said yes and asked who they were, they said they were calling about "the electrics bill" and I asked what bill and they hung up. Tried to call back and the number is disconnected.
