Two texts arrived from this number claiming to be my child (Hi mum) and to save this as his/her new number. Supposedly dropped phone in toilet. Bound to be start of scam

had the same interaction as above with the person even calling me and pretending they were my child but couldn't hear me - no talking just ringing and hanging up then texting they were in trouble and needed me to transfer some money - couldn't actually get hold of my child so started to panic they were in trouble. It is a pathetic scam but the texting was like a teenager would speak and it was really quite authentic so be careful.

Same as above - had me in a panic that my child was in trouble and dropped phone in toilet; even tried to call me and say they couldn't hear me but they were in trouble.

I received a text from this number also claiming to be a text from my child (hello, I have none). Also claims to have dropped in toilet. Based on the previous day report it's a scam.
