Talking to this salesman is like talking to a Monty Python Dial An Arguement skit. He challenged everything I said. I know a bit about wine, but this wet behind the ears drongo wanted to use (obviously from a script) descriptive terminology that only a wine wanker would use. I told him we will not buy his wine. His reply was he'll call back in a month!

Thanks for your feedback Keith. One of my former employees used to buy their wine. I can't believe how pushy this guy was, almost like he was on drugs. I had to be forthright to end the conversation.

Caller: Oak Road Wines

I purchased their wine sight unseen some years back and found it underwhelming so I know I can find better value elsewhere. I think they source inexpensive bottled batches from struggling wineries, relabel them, talk them up and sell from low overhead call centres with pushy tele sales operators. Once they have your phone number, they will call from seemingly hundreds of numbers and become a living nightmare. If you appreciate honest trading, shop for wine elsewhere.
