Advised me that a laptop had been bought through amazon. Wanted me to call a 1800 number to confirm.

Caller: Anonymous text message Scam, sent me UPS package number, claiming to have attempted to delivery but requiring payment of custom charges. The tracking number given didn't exist in the UPS database. Clear attempt to obtain money or credit card details fraudulently.

Caller: Text Message Advising my order had been stopped at a depot. The text message provided a link. When selected it stated I owed shipping costs and they would not release my order until payment had been made. They requested credit card details etc. I had placed an online order and contacted the company I ordered from. They advised it was not them requesting the money.
