Caller: I don't know Scammer. This number or similar has been calling my mobile constantly and daily for ages but I delete unknown callers. I received a text today saying "Mum this is my new number. My phone is in water" followed by this phone number. I foolishly asked if it was (name) and was told "Yes. Further details." With hindsight I decided to text my sons and daughters- in- law to find out the story was untrue.

Received a text from this number "Water-damage messed up my old phone. This is my new phone number Mum. Could you text me back if you received this message". This is a well known scam. Delete the text and block the number.
