Caller: SIXT SIXT is a German company. SIXT has partnered with NRMA. THRIFTY and SIXT are different companies.
My partners car was in an accident approximately three (3) months ago. (Insured by NRMA) we have full comprehensive car insurance including vehicle rental while our car is being fixed.
I am listed as a secondary (in case of emergencies) contact.
I received a call from SIXT MINCHINBURY on Sunday, 10th August regarding a "changeover of vehicle" - ON A SUNDAY AT 930AM, they wanted it back ASAP and refused to wait until the following day.
After SIXT made several attempts to contact me, (the secondary) they gave up and rang my partner (primary contact), car was exchanged, all good.
Today, I find out that a person or persons unknown (I know who they are) deleted my partners number after changing the primary to my number in a passive agressive tantrum.
Now ALL calls, text messages and other contact is going through to MY PHONE at all hours.
Also, would it be fair to say that they are discriminating against people in the Mount Druitt Area (a cheaper rent suburb) by demanding IMMMEDIATE RETURN of the car at 930am on a SUNDAY?
We have had 3 or 4 car swaps in the last two and a half months. Is this because they are afraid that if we have it for more 2 weeks, that we will sell it for parts?
I wonder if Eastern and North Shore suburbs have this experience? Demanding the car be returned with no notice on a Sunday? Multiple car changes? Passive agressive staff who choose to contact the WRONG PERSON, and then delete all Primary Contact information?
I will restate: SIXT is a German company. SIXT has partnered with NRMA. THRIFTY and SIXT are different companies.
Maybe something should be done about foreign owned companies operating in Australia. Especially those that started World War II.
