a text came to my wife's phone today, hi mum, it's me, dropped my phone down the toilet and it's got water damage so i'm using an old phone, save this number to your contacts for the time being x. we were sure it was a scam, thanks for this site!

Someone posing as my daughter texted me from this number saying her phone had died and she needed a new one in a hurry. She pleaded with me to send my credit card details so she could get a new one. My daughter says it wasn't her. Obviously a scam.
