S C A M -Received message: "Mum, it's me, my phone just broke, this is my new number======S C A M !!!!

Message received on whatsapp "My friend, the weather is nice today and we should have a cup of coffee together, do you have time?" Just a few red flags here:
1 - The photo on the profile was someone I've never seen before
2 - My friends don't call me 'my friend'
3 - The weather wasn't nice when the message arrived
4 - I don't drink coffee and my friends know this
So yeah, I'm pretty sure it's not legit.

I had an identical text, claiming to be my daughter. Said she was using a borrowed phone with a 0481 number but the microphone wasn’t working properly. When I called that number, sure enough there erased a lot of static which was to ‘confirm’ the faulty microphone.
