Caller: Scammer

My text message from this number saw "Mum it's me, I've changed providers this is my new num you can delete my old number", I have deleted and blocked it as its the third text in as many days, all from different numbers.

We had same as above and paid out money unfortunately. Can anything be done about it to recover??

I got a scam text from this number saying "Hi mum my phone is ruined I dropped it in the toilet by accident. Save this as my new number" It's been on the news that these scammers have netted thousands from unsuspecting parents.
