text from "Westpac" with a link to wpb.mobile-device.app - phishing scam asking to click the link and confirm your device

I received the exact same phishing text on 25th Jan 2021

Text claiming to be Westpac, saying they have “restricted my services” and I need to follow the link as (per Anonymous review on January 22nd) to “restore my account” and “confirm my device”. Total scam; I don’t even bank with Westpac 😂 I didn’t follow the link. I’ve now blocked this number. It’s the latest in a line of similar submoronic texts claiming to be JB Hifi and Australia Post, which are equally idiotic because they clearly don’t know who I am or anything about me, and it’s going to stay that way.

I’d stop scamming people if I were you
