Caller: NBN Scammer

The caller said he was from the NBN and wanted to assist further with my Internet service cutting out all the time. As we discussed the issue, wanted me to give him remote access to my mobile phone which he implied he could use to finally fix the problem. He sounded Indian, was very polite, and very patient when he was trying to check the line through my relating its history to him. However, my suspicions grew when he wanted remote access to my mobile. He was very smooth and practised in his approach to the point that, when I challenged him, saying that I would prefer to contact the NBN myself, he said that he completely understood, and gave me a call reference number and his first name. He was very convincing. while being extremely dishonest. Later on, I rang his call number which had been discontinued. Not a surprise! I hope this account will help others being called from this number.

Number called me, no message left. Checked Reverse Australia to learn it was yet another scammer. I now refuse to answer any number not included in my contacts. If it's something important they leave a message.The world is full of scammers!!!

Caller: Scammer

Calls repeatedly, every day. Nuisance.

They rang, I answered and heard a recorded message saying something like, I'm sorry, there's no one around to answer your call, please call back later, and hung up.

This number called me, I answered but no one appeared to be on the other end, so I promptly hung up. Probably testing if my number was valid and connected. Most likely I'll be in for a raft of nuisance/scam calls now.

Caller: Suspect a charity

Constantly calling me for days, no message left, also rang my house number, which I picked up & it was the call centre for RSPCA. Give it a rest!!!

This number keeps ringing me, but when i call back it says "your call cannot be connected". After reading all the comments, I'm going to block and report this number

They did the same to me - rang I answered and it said I'm sorry there's no one around to answer your call please call back later

I picked up, but the call hung up. Assume it was testing. Soonafter an Overseas number called, so did not answer. No message left.

-this number is still doing the rounds. I answered to silence then a recorded message 'no one is available to take your call right now, please call back later' then it hung up.

Called, I didn’t pick up and didn’t leave a message, I have blocked.

Judging from previous reports this is a scam caller. Didn’t leave a message when call went unanswered

RSPCA

Called and I answered, but they'd already hung up. Likely some kind of scam, and probably not someone who called wrong number, since the person above was also called a few days ago.
