Mobile phone numbers starting with 0480 are Australian mobile numbers. They are not inherently associated with scam or spam calls, but they have been reported as a prefix used by some scammers. Many people have reported receiving calls from numbers with the prefix 0480, particularly those with the prefix 0480 036, which News.com.au reports has been identified as a tactic used by scammers according to News.com.au.

They did not say anything but eventually an automated voice said ‘bye’

After a couple of attempts to understand her, she says she was from Global Shop Direct. Don't have an account with them so I hung up and blocked them.

Didn't leave a message. I don't bother calling back. I block number and move on. I recently got hacked by a guy saying he was Telstra. He already knew a lot of my details. He got into my email and had access to all my documents: passport, licence, medicare, etc. If you have this information in your emails - DELETE IT FOREVER ! He now knows more about me than I do !
