call comes after you list a vehicle on Gumtree, wanting you to purchase a vehicle safety report or something like that from a specific website, the website is fraudulent and im assuming once you pay for that report thats the game.

Replied to my Gumtree ad very quickly. My phone screening was showing as a scam number. Looked it up and saw the comments above. Thankyou for posting, it help me know this was a scammer very quickly.

This person was one of 3 different numbers that sent me an sms in a space of 30mins

Caller: A Person calling themself LEEP

Same thing as Anonymous Nov 20th and Keith. Insisting on visiting the website he (LEEP) supplied the link to. "I will repay you the report expense when I buy the car, cash. They had not even viewed the car.

Received SMS from this number enquiring about a vehicle I have for sale on Gumtree. Over series of messages wanted an ADR Report and gave search address (AU vehicleportal.com) to get one. Would not accept a PPR Certificate wanted ADR Report before they would come saying they had been scammed before. Gave name as George and tried a more personal tact. I told George I think it's a scam.
