Caller: SMS posing as "E-Tag" company [Scam text received: 05:03 10/10/2023] Scam text posing as an Australian toll company (E-Tag) -- Note that 'E-Tag' is no longer the word used for Linkt services: they will never send you overdue notices from a MOBILE type number, not without prior notice, and not via a bit ly type URL. Do not click on any links provided in these messages. NOTE: These scammers will send you similar texts every consecutive day (with slightly different wording, and from different numbers) to increase legitimacy ('bombardment' attack style). Exercise caution. [Message content: "Past Due Final Reminder: Due to undetected E-Tag, see your bill via [bit ly type link redacted] by [urgent date redacted]." stay safe out there love from antiscam anon xoxo.
