received SMS claiming to be PayPal advice with a code for a payment - checked with PayPal - confirmed SMS was fake

received following SMS "?????? is your OTP for payment of A$1700.00@Paypal, If you did NOT make this Request, call Immediately on:(+61)1800-312-675 to Stop- Transaction!!" waiting to hear from PayPal but suspect SMS is dodgy.
