Caller: Bone Marrow Registry Australia Genuine call. Wanting to confirm if I wanted to stay on the registry. Wasn’t required to confirm personal details over the phone, was directed to the website to update information.

Caller: Harry from Bone Marrow Registry Red Cross Picked up to ring tone but was quickly followed with a friendly Brit called Harry who opened with "hello am I speaking to [my full name]." I thought it was kinda weird so I asked him who's calling and he happily obliged and followed with some details which was pretty convincing. Was just asking if I wanted to remain on the registry and if they could get an updated swab. Only asked permission to send out the swab kit. Since they already knew all my details I figured it can't hurt. I am already on the registry.

Caller: Bone Marrow Register Australia Genuine call from Bone Marrow Register to confirm happy to stay on register and to confirm name, address and email. Already has my mobile and knew my maiden name and previous interstate address from when I'd registered 22 years ago.

Caller: Bone Marrow Registry I think friendly Irish accented lady spoke to me. They let me know I was on the list 12 years ago and I wanted to continue to be registered. I asked to think about it and they said just go to the bone marrow registry website to update details.

Missed this call and did not receive a message. As others have said they claim it’s from Bone Marrow Australia checking registry I would say it’s a scam as I am not registered with them.

Claimed to be from Bone Marrow Australia doing a check to see if I wished to remain on the Bone Marrow registry. I hung up as it was a bit suspicious given the recent Medicare hack. Funny that they never called me back to check again???
