Caller: Claimed to be from some website/business in regard to a survey

I answered this call & a woman (Australian accent) immediately asked me to confirm my name. I ignored this and asked who was speaking and what the call was about. She said she was from some business - I missed the name despite asking her to repeat it but sounded like 'bell'-something. Again she asked me to confirm my name, I ignored her and asked what the call was regarding.

She then said I had supposedly filled out some survey and 'may be eligible for a free gift'. I immediately said 'no thank you' and hung up. Probably should have pried for more information but I was at work and didn't have time.

I believe it was probably a scam - if I had filled out any surveys, presumably they would already have whatever information they would need for some supposed 'free gift'. I also know there are scams going around where you will be offered free gift cards etc. Just speculation but I don't give out so much as my name to ANYONE I don't know - especially cold calls like these.

The sheer stupidity of the morons involved in these operations is staggering . Id say the average I.Q required to commence "employment" as a telemarketer is somewhere between window licker and none .

Called them back they said they were calling from some lifestyle survey I filled out a couple of months ago.

Said they were from some WA company so fast I couldn’t understand and asked them to repeat and still couldn’t understand what they said. They knew my name and started to say I could win a prize. I hung up.
