Caller: Scam When you answer a call and you do not get an immediate response to your "hello" it is a sure sign that it is a spam call centre where multiple calls are made at the same time. The scammer will talk to whoever comes online first. I hung up. My theory is if I hung up on someone that really needed to talk to me, as distinct to scamming, they will call back. You are wasting your time trying to call the number back. If you must, block your caller ID. I don't call back. I check the number on this site. Posted comments confirm that hanging up was the smart thing to do. I have no association with Reverse Australia but , as a user, find it very useful in determining which numbers to block, type of scam etc. I encourage anyone that receives a scam call to post a comment to help other users. Its also a small pushback and maybe DNC , Telstra etc will pay attention to a particularly active scam centre

Caller: Scam Artist, Cheat & Liar Has called 7 times over 2 days. Claims to be offering government LED rebates, have challenged them and they just hang up. Number comes up as can not be reached when called, this means the number is not disconnected, just that it is barred from incoming calls.

I don't know who called bc when it hits my answering machine they hang up. I'm sick to death of getting calls and I get lots but never pick up and let it go to answering machine. I think they've called quite a few times. I've blocked gosh... Hundreds now.
