I never answer 0480 numbers….

Why do they do this ??? What does it achieve ?

Someone with the same mobile number 0482 088 968) have been calling me twice or three times a day since
February 6th 2023. The calls come only on weekdays and not on weekends. When I initially picked up the call,
there was no one answering or speaking on the other line. I contacted Australian Communications and Media
Authority, and they asked me to register my number with the "Do Not Call Register". I registered in March, but
the calls are still coming in. I raised two complaints with them (ref 431948 and 435931) but that hasnt stopped
the call. I recieved 2 call again from this number 0482 088 968 today.

Caller: Calling about receiving paper work from electricity bill

Travelling around in Van don’t have an energy bill

Caller: 0482 088 968

This mobile number 0482 088 968, calling me 3 times a day, but there is no one answering on the other line. They call almost the same time, 3 times a day.

Caller: Clever Contacts

This number rang landline, not answered. When rung back, recorded message says this is "Clever Contacts" calling on behalf of our charity (not named).
Reported to DNC Register.

Never answer unknowns.

Scam

Didn’t answer and left no message. Following dat a call from 0480 088 957 - same no message left, and next day call from 0480 088 978. No message left

sounded like a call centre in the background - left no message

Unknown number so I didn't answer. No message left by caller. Possibly a solicitation call.

I've had two *missed* calls (I never answer calls from unknown numbers/callers) from this number, so it's possibly a charity seeking donations as one other commenter said, or a persistent scammer.
