I received these three messages, supposedly from a delivery driver for Amazon:

"A driver has a message about your order. Reply STOP to stop receiving texts from Amazon for deliveries and pickups."
"Sorry, but I can't find your house. Can you help me with any tips or specific directions?"
"Unfortunately, your order couldn't be delivered. You can track your order on Your Orders page. This text session will close in 5 min."

I have not ordered anything from Amazon. In fact I have NEVER ordered anything from Amazon, and I am not a member/subscriber/etc.
The messages are very generic and completely lacking in detail, which are usual signs of a scam attempt.

Caller: Scammer

International prefix, text message to call or click on link for Amazon delivery. Call does not connect. Random number.

Its the number used to send text messages directly from Amazon delivery drivers to customers when there are having issues in making deliveries that require a 1 time password. You only need to reply to the SMS as soon as you receive it. Its an SMS only number and will not take any calls. Also there is a time limit after delivery has been completed or aborted beyond which responding to the SMS is no longer possible.

We have electronic gates and living adjacent to a park and our intercom button is an object of delight. We have the intercom disconnected but when an Amazon delivery arrives off schedule or we are out they send a text saying " driver need s assistance" We believe its real.

Caller: Amazon impersonator

It seems that Amazon has had its security breached.
I had something delivered by Amazon (which involved an GENUINE call from Amazon, regarding postal address, which had already been supplied) , and the very next day I received multiple calls and texts from this number, and other similar numbers, all claiming to be Amazon (I had no further deliveries pending)
It seems that scammers have tracked the purchase order and/or delivery, and therefore have access to Amazon’s data base.
Avoid giving Amazon your phone number if at all possible.

I couldn’t answer my doorbell because I was using the toilet and then I got a text from this number saying a delivery couldn’t be made and they couldn’t access my building. By the time I got outside there was no one there. It’s also around 5pm on a Sunday afternoon… It’s very bizarre considering the only thing I ordered was very late Friday night.
