"Hi mum, this is my new number. My phone doesn’t turn on anymore so now you can text and call me on this number 👍🏼

Are you busy right now? Because I want to ask for a favour.

I can’t make any online payments because off this temporary number but I need to do a payment today it must be done today. If it’s not too much to ask could you please make that payment then I’ll just pay you back when my online banking works again

I got the same SMS message. They called me Mum. Sneaky tactic. I'm a single gent with no kids so I ignored it, but I think its worth reporting to this forum.

Caller: Scammer

Told my mum they were me! My mum texted my phone and realised it was a scam

Mum got this same message asking for 4000$ and she thought it was me until she called me on another number. very very fake

Caller: British male accent

This guy is a really dumb scammer.
Same opening, Hi mum etc etc.
He nearly had me until I asked a family question, couldn’t answer me, cancelled the card then he said F… you bitch.
He rang the next day (caller iD) saying he was my bank, asked him a question, just hung up.

I wish these people would get a proper job they would make lots of legal money

Caller: Spammer

I got the same message as above on WhatsApp. “Hi mum…”

I became suspicious and asked the person to call me. Answer: I can't call with this phone the microphone is broken.

Then I suggested to FaceTime me. The person did indeed start a video chat on WhatsApp- filming himself masturbating.

Not funny.
