Caller: A man

A man called me who would not identify to me who he was other than to say he was from a firm in Sydney and that he was looking for a person living at a particular address. He was evasive in answering any questions about why he was calling or how he got my personal mobile number.

Claim to want to speak to someone with a similar name.

SCAM, trying to obtain personal information.

Missed call and rang back they didn’t know whom
I was and mentioned a colleague was

Scam scam scam and even if I knew were the lerson was I wouldn’t tell them so blocked number

Called looking for a friend of mine. I asked what it was about and they said it was a personal matter, she’s not in trouble. I assumed debt collection but after reading the above I won’t be passing their details onto my friend to call back.

Caller: Rebecca avery then manager Matt

Rang saying they'd been thrifty a friend fb list and got my number from a data base. Refused to give me company name. Only is a private matter. My friend rang back and they also refused to give her company name all they would say is they're based on Sydney

Caller: Australian lady

Same as all the others. Australian lady very well spoken looking for someone. Gave me an address who wasn’t mine, but trying to get info from me. SCAM.

Man called looking for a relative. Third time I’ve had this same guy over a few years. Australian accent and calm, friendly demeanour. Has tried to get personal information on relative in past.

Caller: Darna, Matthew, Ashley

Looking for someone with a similar name - refused to tell me the company they are from. Knew personal information about me though. When I asked how they got my details they told me they have various methods and databases they pay scammers for

Same as everyone else...it was a guy claiming to be Joseph Kim....asking for someone with a similar name as me. Suspicion and dangerous.

A woman called "Sienna" asking for someone and claiming to be from a business in Sydney - Probably a scammer, was quite insistent

Same as the post on "June 19, 2025", a scam caller wanting to know personal information, to speak to someone of a similar name, claiming to know them.
