Scam they asked for a mark beretin did he still live in my old street , I said I have no idea who your talking about, she said he was a tattoo artist , and wanted to know if I still lived in that street, so she could pop her name and number in my mailbox, I don't live in that street anymore so have no idea what she wanted.. hung up after that...

They call me every few months or so looking for someone I don't know. Keep saying it's for a personal reason & refuse to give their name or business name. I've tried. Locking them in the past but they call me again a few months later!

They knew my name but i said no wrong number then i could hear them typing on a computer lol. Stop calling me im broke

Similar story to top comment. Didn't give her name over phone. Asked if my neighbour (gave name) still lived next door to me. Stupidly I said "yes as far as I know." Then she asked me if I could urgently put a note to call her in the mailbox. She sent a text message with contact details from a different mobile number. The contact details were for "Kelli" and the number given in the text was a landline number. The number she called from was different to the text message number. She had a New Zealand accent. I also asked during call how she got my number. She said "just a database service. Like White Pages. I put address for neighbours around [my neighbour address] and your name and number popped up." I'm not listed on the White Pages. All very suspicious.

Called and asked for a family member. Gave the number (02) 8836 4374 to call back on.

This number has been flagged as a scam call so I didn't answer it. If it's an important phone call, they will leave a message - but they didn't. So I'm just going to assume it's a bullsh*t scam call

Yeah they can spoof the number so call off theur business landline but comes through as a mobile number or what ever they want to use

Very suspicious, unsure of their motives

Got recorded message saying number was disconnected

Called asking for details of a vehicle at a neighbors address I used to live at. Once requested where they were calling from they went flaky and just said it had to do with insurance.

Same. Ask for another person. Don't tell you who they are or what they want. Call comes up with Spam. I have now blocked them

A woman named 'Layla' called me seeking contact details of someone with the my surname, hoping it was a family member. I asked who she was and where she was calling from and she only said she was trying to get in contact with them as she was assisting with a matter for a private company based in Sydney. Asked if the person was a relation of mine and could I put her in contact? I asked how she got my number and it was from a 'google phone book' as she was searching the surname, which isn't too common, so she hoped she would find a relation. As she gave me no company name or why she was trying to get a hold of this person, I didn't help with any information and blocked the number.

Rang looking for my old neighbour saying she couldn’t disclose where she was from and sent a text message with a number to pass onto the neighbour

I’m assuming this is a scam call based on the other comments.
A woman called Grace was asking after an acquaintance of mine. Stated the persons full name & said they could see we were Facebook friends. I do have my friends list hidden so she must have seen it from the other persons profile. How she got my number is unknown.
She stated she was trying to get in contact with said person & reassured me it was for nothing bad, they weren’t in trouble.
I was cautious & asked Grace for her surname.
She paused then said Smith.
Clearly made that up on the spot so I said I couldn’t help her & that was the end of the conversation.
Did warn the other party.

Grace called me and asked about a family member. Then stated my kids names. Went on to state that my children will remain safe at my address (knew my address) as long as I pay my debt of $100,000 to them via either cash payment or a Bitcoin transfer. I don't have bitcoin or $100K cash. I text them back stating if they call again I will go to police as they are a scam caller and I refuse to put up with blackmail.

I am at a total loss how they have obtained all of these details about me and my family.

Caller: Ava - Private Company in Sydney

Called and asked if I know a certain person which I do but have no contact or only know them through mutual. Lady (Ava) said its for a personal matter and refuse to give any info. Have asked how they got my number as I dont associate with this wanted person but apparently I’m in the database. Didnt want to give them further details as they dont give any as well.

This number has called me at least three times in the last two days I haven’t answered because I don’t recognise the number and it is now blocked. After reading comments. I’m convinced it’s spam
