I received a call from this number claiming to be from NBN informing me that my internet connection was compromised and to go on my laptop and press different buttons

I am not with telstra so told them to piss off

James from "Telstra" called to say my internet line had been compromised and he would help me fix it. Definitely a scam.
I hung up

didn't leave any message. Unknown number called on work Teams channel, so most definitely highly questionable caller!!

I'm sick to death of this plague of calls from lowlife scammers. Every time I block a number, I have to block another one that these pathetic scum suckers are using - and my phone only allows me to block 30 numbers although I need 300.
I never answer the phone, but that doesn't stop the constant ringing driving me crazy, seemingly every single day. I know they already block thousands of scam calls every day, but there just must be something further the government and telcos can do about this ceaseless harassment.

Called me after office hours and didn't leave message. Checked call history and it rang me twice in November (3 months ago) so checked here. Scammers so will block number
