Caller: NIB Hospital Support Program

This turned out to not be a scammer, started with a text message in the morning saying "NIB would call to discuss an invitation to our hospital support program", lady called saying she was Jane from NIB on this mobile number and when I said I didn't recogise the number I would call their main line she offered it as 131463 which is actually not NIB's published main line. When you connect you get a complete replica of NIB's phone handling system (actually probably guenuine) which I hung up from and called the real NIB number.

Turns out you can call their area on direct number 1800 339 219 option #2.

NIB support program - not a scam.
Called in relation to an upcoming hospital visit I had. Was offering their members a complementary support program as part of being admitted into hospital.

Caller: FEMALE

Caller female , NIB, offering a supplementary program, but then wanted my full name, DOB ans address. I said that she rang me, I answered with my name, who else could it be. She pushed for identity so I hung up. She was on a mobile phone so how can I be sure.

Rings until answering service answers then hangs up (no message)
Extremely annoying

13/2/25 Can confirm YES is NIB as was doubtful initially after checking reverse lookup, took their call said wasn't sure - person said yes we get that a lot being mobile # & delay in being able to speak to person immediately. Called NIB enquiry line, explained intial call & then referred to another area. Confirmed I had an upcoming surgery & further help post op (VERY HELPFUL) if required, no sales. All legit :)

They hung up as soon as I answered. Wondering if connected to an NIB scam because of the comments here and I had spoken to NIB when I called them about an hour earlier

Unknown number, no message, but did get a text earlier to say NIB were inviting me to a new program. So, going by previous messages I guess it’s NIB? Don’t know why they wouldn’t leave a message?

Only reason I think it is NIB is the other comments, and they are my insurer.
