Caller: Optus

I had a similar call to the above - offering 40% off for 7 months. They had my name and wanted to confirm details so I asked some probing questions like does this include my home phone and internet (because I don't have those with Optus) - she said all the detail would be emailed to me. I was trying to vet her as much as she was trying vet me but it wasn't working out so I said "no thanks" and she said I could enquire at an Optus shop to receive the offer. She wasn't ever rude or pushy which made me wonder if I was being overly cautious... I then contacted Optus through the app (because 40% off sounds pretty good) and spoke with a representative who told me that they had not reached out to me, the offer is not legitimate, and the phone number it came from is not associated with Optus at all. Scam confirmed.

Very noisy call centre - Woman with Indian accent wanting to offer me 45% of my Telstra mobile plan, even though my contract prices just increased. SCAM caller !!

Caller (with Indian accent) said they called from Optus and was offering me 40% discount on my bill for 7 months. The person/s had all my correct information and because they kept telling me the same stuff I hung up. I tried to log into my hotmail account and found I could not get in so I had to change the password. They are now giving their name - Marrie Jason - ID #14181TD and the address is 367 Collins Street, Melbourne, VIC 3000. Very smart scam caller.
