Why cant these websites let you compare anonymously on line without being hounded

Signed up online, and they called due to an issue with my address, signed up over the phone. Didn't receive my welcome pack from the electrical retailer after a few days so called them directly. The set-up was not completed by compare the market, had to sign up again. Now compare the market will not stop harassing me. Just block them and call the retailer directly. Its far less hassle

Can't get quotes without agreeing to be contacted by phone. Don't want to be contacted by phone - especially not 2 seconds after I use the website. They call, I block the call and then call them when I want to. If they want to waste their own time and be a blight on the industry, that's their choice. If I want to use them anyway or decide they deserve to be boycotted, that's my choice.

I tried using their website, and got a "Sorry, we can't help you" message, then a few minutes later they call to try and sell things. Nope. Give them a fake number, since you apparently can't leave it blank to stop them harrassing you.

Just hangs up when I answer. No messages left. So sick of these calls.
If it is Compare the Market they should put a check box on their comparison page asking YOU if you would like them to contact you. If you don't check the box then they should leave the enquirer alone!!!! I'd also like to compare prices online without getting bombarded with nuisance calls afterwards...at all hours! And what have they got to gain when they hang up when we answer anyway? Contact quotas maybe? More like No contact quotas.

I did a comparison thing, thankfully in the middle of the night but they called me back the next day.

I think it may be Compare the Market as I just hit send on the comparison and then they called.....
