Sick of these random numbers calling with SCAMS! why isn't the aussie government protecting itz citizens

Rung back straight away, response received was that number was disconnected. So annoying

missed the call,so i called back, NUMBER NOT CONNECTED, SO I BLOCKED THE HALFWIT

Optus says the number is disconnected but it keeps calling but when I answer there is no-one there.

No message. I don't know this number

Caller: No idea

Called it back, probably unwise, call couldn't be connected

Caller: Possible Scammer

I've received multiple calls from this number, they wait for me to start talking to pretend like they know me or they calling from a place I work or study
