Said they were from Energy Australia, and wanting to get me on a better plan, but could not give details of the plan i was on, why i had been selected or information about any other plans.

Seemed like a scam but they provide my correct account ## and sent me an email from the legit address when asked. Energy Australia need to improve their systems, should not be calling people from random numbers requesting personal information.

Caller said they were calling from energy Australia but with the heavy Indian accent and prevalence of scam calls these days I was already on my guard and then when I said they should have my information, why do I need to answer a 15 minute questionnaire she said if I was going to be rude she would hang up… weird… I am still not sure what that was…

It's legit! I double checked with Energy Australia main number and they told me its from their consultant department that handles energy plans review. It's legit from EnergyAustralia.

Keep getting unwanted calls from Energy Australia asking for my personal info

The caller didn’t introduce themselves.This number claimed to be from energy Australia, confirmed my first and last name then wanted to discuss my plan as their records suggested I wasn’t on the best one. This was suspicious as I had recently confirmed that I WAS on the best plan. They said that I could find more info on their website or register for MyAccount. They then wanted to ask for my personal details to send me more information.

I received a call as well from the same number now informing me that she is going to revise and check the account and help provide a better plan and started to ask the address, I informed since you guys called you should have all details, why do you have to verify ,I informed her I am not happy to give any info and if you like to take me through my account details and send me the plan via email, I will check and proceed, she cut the call saying call us for any help in future

Pretending to be Energy Australia very scary that they new my first and last name and was a very well crafted script very similar to a professional caller from Energy Australia.

I didn't pick up the call, but the voicemail said that they were from EnergyAustralia wanting to check if I was on the best plan. I couldn't catch the first return number she left, but the second one (the general purpose 133466) was legit
