Caller: Possibly a charity, possibly a scam

Tried to get authorization to support some local charity in my area. I asked them to email and I would look over the documents and decide. They insisted I give a confirmation over the phone that I am “just a hands up over the phone”. I said well I am going into a medical appointment so won’t remember any of this so just email me. They said they will call me later, and then hung up. Pretty sure they were looking for a verbal recorded “Yes” which they didn’t get. If it was a scam, yah missed out. If it was legitimate... yah, missed out - cause your processes are terrible. Either way, not interested.

Just hung up

mobile phone number - pretend to be from Neighbour hood watch asking for owner (donation - what else). Hung up and tried dialing back and said that it was disconnected.

Caller: "Neighbourhood Watch"

Called from "Police Neighbourhood Watch" who then proceeded to ask me if I am in charge of a local group and the subsequent finances of the group (don't understand how Neighbourhood Watch and financial management are related). I said I was the coordinator or it but we're a NFP organisation and conduct no financial transactions (which is all true). She asked if I knew who would, I gave her the CEO's name. Ended call and blocked.

Retrospectively I think I had a call from the same number a few weeks ago, not saying neighbourhood watch though, asking if I was in charge of the finances for the same group. As soon as I said we were NFP the guy hung up

Australian Institute of Policing asking sponsor and donating $440.
Just blocked it.

Caller: Neighbourhood Watch?

The guy was really friendly, said I didn't know him but his name was Dillon and he was calling from Neighbourhood Watch. He then said your in XXXX (Suburb) right? And I said no, (because it was incorrect, I have moved) and told him this was a business number he had called and to please remove my number from his list. Some kind of scam I'm sure

A scam wanted my details over the phone

Caller: Sponsorship for Police

Called saying they were from the Police. Interrupted to ask if this was a charity call & they said no, sponsorship offer. Requested my # be removed from their call list

Caller: support for police

They called saying they were from the police and needed a "just a hands up over the phone” to support the police journal or something. They had a big job coming up or something.
Toooooooootally a scam. Random explanation, tailor made "future job" similar to what your business does. naaaaah

Caller: Sora ... something like Sahalla

Wanted a quote for my services. Gave me an email address and name as working for Tomi doing imports of medical equipment. The business name and email extension checked out but when I phoned back, I got to speak to the Managing Director who had never heard of her.

They just hung up so I have blocked them!

They asked a question and then hung up.

They just hang up!
