I rang once and got disconnected

says, not contactable from this service

Said they were from Federal Police - very dodgy sounding dude.

Asking for donation, Scam.

He said he was associated with the police. Wanted money for magazine advertisement. When I said I would need to check his credentials he hung up.

Started by mentioning they were with the police and neighbourhood watch but not to worry. Turns out its a sales call for advertising in a charity booklet for 'Streetsmart'.

The Streetsmart website has this to say - "Special notice If you have been contacted by telephone: If someone has called you asking for a donation to StreetSmart or to contribute advertising in a ‘StreetSmart’ booklet – THIS is NOT US. A company called Countrywide Publishing produce a ‘StreetSmart’ booklet, use telephone sales and are not associated with us. If you need to contact them please do so here http://www.cwaustral.com.au/contact-us/"

Said it was police call for kids’ eye problems. I asked where are they for . He couldn’t give n said it is national wide. Sounds like asking money.

called my business and said it was the police but never said a name, started talking about an event going on and then it disconnected and i tried to call back but said it was disconnected.

Received a call, no message left. I rang back to find the service could not be reached from my phone.

this outfit are farming for information to make a strike at some one. they disguise as a neighbourhood service but are triagulating a debtor.

Calling from ‘neighbourhood watch’. Not able to provide any details of ‘my business’. Asking for personal details.
