Caller: Neighbourhood / Victoria Police Scam

They have been calling me 6 times per day off a few similar mobile numbers starting with 0478 287 xxx

Sounded like a scam call to me. Asked if I 'was prepared to support our local police fight terrorism and the Ice epidemic and keep our community safe by taking out an ad in the magazine.' When I said 'no I wasn't' they were a bit taken back and then hung up. Rang the number back and it disconnects immidiatly. Originally thought it might be push polling for a political party but now thinks its just a straight out scam.

I called back number 0478 287 016 rang once then gets disconnected automatically.
