Caller claimed to be Fedex and as we have parcels delivered here occasionally I wasn't suspicious. He sounded ok but after I had said yes to his question if the "authority to leave" clause was ok with me, he said thank you and hung up. Then the awful realisation came over me that this could be a "voice mining" (my term) call, where the scammer records your voice saying yes, etc, so that they can use it with AI. I hope nothing comes of it but BE CAREFUL! They are everywhere these days, such a shame.

Asked if I would allow an authority to leave a package for future deliveries. Ive never received anything from or used Fed Ex before so I declined to talk.
